16 August 2021 – Information to Residents & families regarding Melbourne lockdown extended and curfew

First of all, thanks to everybody to continue following the visitors’ restrictions at ECH as of all other Residential Aged Care facilities.

There is no change in the restrictions except Melbourne starts to have curfew after 9pm as per the Statement issued by Premier of Victoria today (16/08/2021).

  1. For all end of life visitors / essential carers, please get a Compassion letter from Admin Office if you have not had one yet in case you are checked by Police, and do not visit during Curfew between 9 PM to 5 AM.
  2. All other restrictions remain the same as per memo issued 30 July 2021.
  3. Please note ECH only prints the Victoria public exposure sites and post at the entrance screening station.
  4. All are required to regularly checking the NSW COVID-19 case locations or any other States if needed.
  1. ECH remains Covid-free and we want to keep it this way, as a result, we will continue keeping the highest standard and the follow measures are implemented:
  2. ECH starts using electronic EntryTrakr system additional to Victorian QR Code.
  3. Another Federal Government Roving clinical on 18 August 2021 to give Pfizer vaccination to small number of residents who finally changing the mind to receiving the jabs.
  4. We regularly performing asymptomatic Covid tests at ECH by trained RN for all staff, we further extend to residents, essential workers and visitors (please bring along your Medicare Card).
  5. Regular training regarding updates of information and infection control competency checking for all staff.
  6. Provide appropriate and sufficient PPE for any person entering ECH including staff, families, Essential care professionals / workers.
  7. All staff only working at ECH as per Single Workplace Arrangement.
  8. All staff sick leave is monitored, fully investigated and followed up by General Manager / Clinical Care Coordinator to ensure Covid-safe.

ECH will continue providing updates of Covid 19 precautions. Please share this update with other family members who may wish to be kept informed.
